Man due in court in connection with Donegal crash that killed eight

A man is appearing in court in Co Donegal around now, charged in connection with the death of eight people in a two-car crash last year.

A man is appearing in court in Co Donegal around now, charged in connection with the death of eight people in a two-car crash last year.

Seven men, ranging in age from 19 to 23, were killed when the car they were in collided with a Toyota Corolla on the Buncrana to Clonmany road on July 11, 2010.

The 66-year-old man driving the Corolla was also killed in the crash.

This morning investigating officers arrested a 22-year-old man in connection with the incident.

He is due to appear before Buncrana District Court this afternoon.
