New signings Craig Cathcart and Marlon Harewood could be set for their Blackpool debuts at Wigan tomorrow in the Seasiders’ first ever Barclays Premier League match.

Cathcart and Harewood were among a host of players to arrive at Bloomfield Road this week, with fellow new recruits Ludovic Sylvestre and Elliot Grandin also in contention to make their bow for the club should international clearance arrive in time.

Keith Southern misses out after picking up a knee injury in pre-season, as does Louis Almond with a shoulder problem and Billy Clarke, who is expected to be sidelined for most of the campaign having sustained cruciate ligament damage in his knee.

Provisional squad: Rachubka, Cathcart, Coid, Crainey, Eardley, Grandin, Sylvestre, Evatt, Ormerod, Harewood, Vaughan, Taylor-Fletcher, Halstead, Baptiste, Euell, Gilks, Edwards, Adam, Husband.
