William Jarvis is worried about the soft ground for Gravitation in the Goffs/DBS Park Hill Stakes at Doncaster tomorrow.
The Newmarket trainer has high hopes for the daughter of Galileo following her Group Three success over subsequent Deauville winner Folk Opera at Glorious Goodwood.
That is tempered by the expected testing conditions on Town Moor, however.
“I’m a bit concerned about the ground, but she’s in good form and I hope she runs well,” said Jarvis.
“She should get the trip and I’m hoping for the best.”
Plenty of cut in the ground and a return to a more suitable distance is expected to bring out the best in Gull Wing.
“She’s probably got her optimum trip and optimum ground, so we are expecting a big run,” said her trainer Michael Bell.
“She ran well at York, when just beaten by Yellowstone, and the last time the going and the distance didn’t suit.
“Tomorrow she’s got her underfoot conditions and her trip.”
