New figures have shown the global interest generated by the Taoiseach Enda Kenny's hard-hitting speech about the Vatican earlier this week.
During a Dáil debate on the Cloyne report on Wednesday, Mr Kenny accused the Vatican of trying to "downplay" the rape and torture of children.
In less than 48 hours, the speech was mentioned in more than 1,000 articles in over 800 publications across 64 countries.
