Three found dead in Roscommon house

Three people have been found dead in a house in Roscommon town.

Gardaí were alerted to the scene just after 7.30am after smoke was seen from a one story house at St. Ciaran's Park.

Inside they found the remains of three men believed to be in their 20s or 30s.

Fire services also attended the scene, but it is now understood they were not called upon to put out a blaze.

The men's bodies remain at the house.

Gardaí will not confirm the exact cause of the deaths until a full technical and post mortem examination is complete.

The scene has been sealed off for a forensic examination.
