Detectives in the North have been given more time to question a woman who is being detained in connection with the killing of PSNI Constable Ronan Kerr.

Detectives in the North have been given more time to question a woman who is being detained in connection with the killing of PSNI Constable Ronan Kerr.

The 36-year-old was arrested in Pomeroy, Co Tyrone on Tuesday.

Police now have until Friday evening to question her in connection with the murder of the Catholic police officer.

PSNI Constable Kerr was killed when a booby trap bomb exploded under his car in Omagh last month.
