Aer Lingus flights operate as normal
Aer Lingus said all flights will operate as normal to and from the United States today.
The Irish consulate in New York is continuing efforts to establish if there were any Irish citizens killed or injured in yesterday's crash.
The area in which the plane crashed, Rockaway in Queens, is home to a large Irish-American community.
The Taoiseach has already sent his sympathies to those affected by the tragedy.
