Wozniack books final spot in Korea

Caroline Wozniacki closed in on her first WTA Tour title of the season after edging past Russia's Ekaterina Makarova to reach the final of the Korea Open in Seoul on Saturday.

Caroline Wozniacki closed in on her first WTA Tour title of the season after edging past Russia's Ekaterina Makarova to reach the final of the Korea Open in Seoul on Saturday.

Despite serving for the match at 6-1 5-4, Wozniacki was forced into a third set by the number eight seed before eventually prevailing 6-1 5-7 6-4 in two hours and 23 minutes.

Wozniacki will play Kaia Kanepi in the final after the Estonian marked her comeback after three months out with an Achilles injury by overcoming American Varvara Lepchenko 6-4 2-6 6-4.
