Gardai in Limerick are awaiting the results of a post mortem examination on the body of a young man who died after a stabbing incident earlier this morning.

Gardai say that they will not be releasing the name of the young man until all relatives have been informed.

A 19-year-old man is still been questioned by detectives in Limerick's Henry Street Garda station in connection with the stabbing incident.
