Seven people were helping detectives with a murder inquiry today after the death of a teenager following a party, British police said.

Seven people were helping detectives with a murder inquiry today after the death of a teenager following a party, British police said.

The 17-year-old was fatally injured in the Fawdon area of Newcastle upon Tyne after two rows broke out within about 90 minutes.

Police said the first row erupted during a party in a house in Mapledene Road, Fawdon, just before midnight.

The second, in which the teenager was fatally injured, occurred a few hundred yards away in Dorrington Road at about 1.25am today.
