Jamaica have made a formal approach to potential Irish target Clinton Morrison to join their World Cup campaign.

Jamaica have made a formal approach to potential Irish target Clinton Morrison to join their World Cup campaign.

Technical director Clovis de Oliveira made his invitation to the Crystal Palace striker, who qualifies for England, Ireland and Jamaica, after talks last week.

As yet, Morrison has not made any response.

Mick McCarthy is known to be increasingly frustrated with Morrison's attitude and has said he is now leaving the matter entirely up to the player.
