Two explosions were heard outside the British Consulate in New York early today.

Two explosions were heard outside the British Consulate in New York early today.

Slight damage was caused to the building but no one was injured, officials said.

The explosions occurred about 3.50am local time and apparently originated in or near a cement flower box outside the consulate in midtown Manhattan, said police department spokesman Noel Waters.
