Post Office worker threatened at knifepoint

A man armed with a knife threatened staff in a post office robbery today.

A man armed with a knife threatened staff in a post office robbery today.

The man held up a worker in the Bayside Shopping Centre, Howth, north Co Dublin at around 2.30pm.

Gardaí said there was only one member of staff on the premises and no customers. Nobody was injured.

The thief fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash.

He is described as 6ft2" inches tall, with red hair and a slim build. He was wearing a white baseball cap.

Gardaí said investigations are ongoing and no arrests have been made.
