Never too old

Former Argentine President Carlos Menem has become a father again at the age of 73.

His second wife Cecilia Bolocco, a former Miss Universe, gave birth to a boy today in a clinic in the Chilean capital Santiago.

Bolocco, 38, underwent fertility treatment at the same clinic.

The boy will be named Maximo Saul, “not Carlos, because there are too many Carlos, around 100,000 Carlos,” Menem said.

Menem, Argentina’s president from 1989-99, is expected to become a grandfather for the first time in April from his daughter Zulema Eva.

His son from his first marriage, Carlos Saul, was killed in a 1991 helicopter crash.
