Consumer spending rose by over 6% in July, when compared with the same month in 2014.
In particular, spending on clothing and footwear went up for the ninth consecutive month.
Irish people were spending more on hotels and restaurants, up almost 8%, as well as recreation and culture which jumped by 12%.
Online shopping sales also rose by 11.4% when compared with July 2014.
