The ISEQ index of Irish shares fell eight points this evening to 2,386.94 by market close.
There was mixed news for the financial heavyweights; AIB dropped 6c off its share price to €1.09 with Bank of Ireland down just 3c to 62c. Irish Life and Permanent however, bucked the negative trend, up 12c to €1.72.
Elsewhere, there was little movement within the construction sector; Kingspan gained a modest 3c to €2.57. Grafton was down 4c to €1.59 with McInerney falling 1c to 10c per share.
Paddy Power bookmakers suffered the biggest drop of the day, down 38c to €10.52 by market close.
