Liverpool target Jari Litmanen will have no trouble in coping with the physical demands of the Premiership insists his agent Harri Kampman.
The 29-year-old Finland skipper is poised to sign a two-and-a-half year deal with the Reds after being told he can leave Barcelona.
And Kampman is convinced the forward can bounce back from an injury-plagued stint in Spain to be just as big a hit on Merseyside as compatriot Sami Hyypia.
"He's played at the top level for many years and he also has experience from playing against British teams during his stay on the continent, so I don't see it as a problem," Kampman told onefootball.com.
"In my view, the game there is not as physical as it used to be.
"Many good players from the continent have moved to England and skill is the word to use for today's game there.
"Jari has won the Champions League with Ajax and played in La Liga in Spain so it won't be impossible for him."
Litmanen played for Reipas Lahti, HJK Helsinki and MyPa in Finland before joining Ajax for £200,000 in 1992.
He went on to score 91 goals in 159 matches for the Dutch giants and picked up a European Cup winner's medal in 1995.
Injuries and the dismissal of coach Louis van Gaal have blighted his time at Barcelona since his free transfer move to Spain in 1999.
But he has continued to flourish on the international scene, scoring four goals in his last seven appearances for Finland to take his tally to 17 in 68 appearances since making his debut against Trinidad in 1989.
"The (Liverpool) deal has been agreed and Jari is flying to England to put pen to paper and to thrash out personal terms," revealed Kampman.
"In the end it all happened rather quickly and the move was completed in a few days after the turn of the year - when we found out there was no way Jari would get his chance at Barcelona."
