The inquest into the death of a new born baby girl, found dead in a laneway in Dun Laoghaire, Co Dublin in 1973, will resume for a third day today.

The inquest has already heard evidence from three of Cynthia Owen's sisters.

Ms Owens claims to be the mother of the baby whom she claims was conceived as a result of sexual abuse by a family member.

She has also alleged that her own mother stabbed the infant to death.

Two of her sisters deny the allegations, but a third sister told the inquest that she too was abused at the age of eight by an individual identified in court as 'C'.
