Around 75 BBC jobs in the North are set to be shed as part of the British broadcaster's planned cost cuts.
The company announced plans today to shed 1,800 jobs in the coming years in an effort to deal with a £2bn (€2.9bn) budget shortfall.
The BBC employs around 670 people in the North and says up to 100 workers will be affected by today's announcement.
However, it says planned reinvestment in local programmes means the net job loss will be around 75.
