Letter to the Editor: Open pubs but make sure you wear a mask

Before and after Covid.

Before Covid we had no physical distancing, precious little hygiene or respiratory control, no face masks or visors, no room shields, no contact tracing, no viral treatments, under resourced hospitals, no sanitised air and above all no knowledge and no risk analysis of Covid.

Now we have all of these measures and more; we are all wary of this virus but we are all of us weary of hearing the mantra "expert health advice" without also hearing risk analysis.

We have flattened the curve together, we are now the experts.

Time to risk-limit to 1.0 metre in pubs, restaurants, retail and transport, and for God's sake and our mental health sake, wear a mask or shield.
