A tense incident at a west London bank is over, after a man was arrested at the scene.

A tense incident at a west London bank is over, after a man was arrested at the scene.

Surrey Police said the man went into Barclays in Church Road, Ashford, west London, shortly before 4pm. It is understood that customers or staff who were in the bank at the time were prevented from leaving.

A man in his 30s was arrested after the bank siege in Ashford, west London, police confirmed.
