Laois midfielder Brendan Quigley looks set to be available to play for the O'Moore county in this Saturday's Leinster Under-21 football final against Offaly in Portlaoise.
Quigley should be involved, even if the outcome of Friday night's hearing over his sending-off against Armagh last Saturday week is not successful.
The Timahoe player lodged an appeal to the GAA last week over his the red card he received in Laois' NFL Division 1B win over Armagh at O'Moore Park.
Quigley received a straight red card from Roscommon referee Declan Hunt after a first half brawl which involved 20 players overall, and he was unlucky to be picked out with so many players entangled in the row.
The midfielder and a Laois County Board representative are set to meet the Hearings Committee of the GAA for Friday's hearing in Kilkenny, where the GAA's Annual Congress is taking place.
The charge being answered by Quigley comes under Rule 143 of the GAA's Official Guide which states that a minimum/fixed penalty of "four weeks suspension in the same code and at the same level, inclusive of the next game in the same competition of that competition Year, even if that game falls outside the suspension time period."
The fate of the star midfielder will depend on what way the above rule is interpreted by the committee in charge.
'Same code and at the same level' could mean that Quigley is just suspended from National League football with Laois ensuring he is free to play for the U-21s this weekend.
However if the wording is dissected, 'same code' could mean that Quigley is suspended from all football.
