Hunt for blue car after collision

The driver of a navy blue car is being sought by gardaí investigating a serious collision in Co Carlow, it emerged tonight.

The driver of a navy blue car is being sought by gardaí investigating a serious collision in Co Carlow, it emerged tonight.

A woman sustained serious injuries in the crash, at Boggan, Kilbride, last Saturday morning.

She was driving a car which collided with a lorry at 10.30am.

Gardaí in Ballon are appealing for anyone who witnessed the accident to come forward.

“In particular they wish to speak to the driver of a navy car, described as large, possibly a Mercedes or a VW Passat, who is believed to have witnessed the collision but did not stop at the scene,” said a garda spokesman.

“This car was heading towards Wexford at the time.”
