Three appear in court on explosive charges

A Dundalk man and twin brothers from Finglas, Dublin, have appeared before the Special Criminal Court charged with possession of explosive devices.

A Dundalk man and twin brothers from Finglas, Dublin, have appeared before the Special Criminal Court charged with possession of explosive devices.

22-year-old Darren O’Donagh of Muirheavna Mor, Dundalk, and 31-year-old twins Alan and Kenneth Patterson of Griffith Parade, Finglas, have been remanded in custody to appear in court again on Friday.

They were arrested in Dundalk on Saturday morning by detectives on suspicion of being members of an illegal organisation. They have been charged with possession of a timer and power device.

The men will back in court at 10:30am on Friday.
