ISEQ ends week on a high

The ISEQ index of shares eded the week on a high, up 58.02 to 6839.09 at close of trading today.

The ISEQ index of shares eded the week on a high, up 58.02 to 6839.09 at close of trading today.

Construction group CRH was up 40c to €22.55, while insurer FBD Holdings was up 66c to €33.14.

Among the few stocks in the red was construction company Kingspan, which today announced an operating profit increase of 54% for the first six months of this year.

It's operating profit was €67m compared to €43.6m in 2004. Turnover was up 32% to €580.1m compared to €439.4m in 2004. Kingspan shares were down 5c to €10.70.
