The jury in the trial of a man accused of causing the deaths of 10 passengers in the Selby train crash has retired to consider its verdict.

Gary Hart, 37, of Strubby, Lincolnshire, denies 10 counts of causing death by dangerous driving.

His Land Rover and trailer plunged off the M62 and onto the East Coast mainline on February 28.

It has been alleged at Leeds Crown Court that Hart fell asleep at the wheel after staying up the previous night talking on the phone to a woman he had met through the Internet.
