Detectives in Portadown are appealing for information following an armed robbery in the Church Street area at around 11.30am this morning.

Detectives in Portadown are appealing for information following an armed robbery in the Church Street area at around 11.30am this morning.

A man, armed with a knife, entered a food shop and took a sum of cash before making off.

The man is described as being 5ft 11in tall, of slim to medium build and has very short, dark hair. It is also believed that he has two black eyes.

Police are appealing to anyone who witnessed the incident to contact them.
