The Information Society Commission is calling for a rethink of the Government's electronic information policy.

The advisory body says the e-government strategy should concentrate more on public service reform rather than the novelty of providing services on-line.

The commission also called for more collaboration across government departments and agencies to ensure greater cost efficiency.
