The body of a man has been discovered in Dublin.

Man's body discovered in Temple Bar

The body of a man has been discovered in Dublin city centre.

It is understood the man's body was found by a passerby on Cows Lane in Temple Bar.

He was pronounced dead at the scene shortly before 9am today.

It is understood the man is believed to be homeless, but this has not yet been confirmed.

The body has been removed to the city morgue where a post mortem examination will take place.

A garda investigation is underway.
