Inter Milan striker Mario Balotelli is no longer for sale this summer, according to his agent.
The 19-year-old forward has been strongly linked with a move to Inter’s city rivals AC Milan in recent months but his representative insists the player will be staying put.
“Balotelli has been taken off the market,” Mino Raiola told Sky Italia.
“(Inter president Massimo) Moratti told me and we are happy.
“I have not spoken to anyone but there would only be a maximum of four clubs that could afford Balotelli.
“He has three years left on his contract and he is not on the market.”
Balotelli’s future has been in the spotlight after a troubled season with the Italian champions.
Inter coach Jose Mourinho, who is set to join Real Madrid, excluded Balotelli from the team for several games earlier this year because of his poor attitude and he put himself under even more scrutiny by throwing his Inter jersey onto the pitch after a Champions League game in April.
“We have resolved our problems and we are not awaiting the name of the new coach,” said Raiola.
“It would be ridiculous if Mario decided to stay or leave based on whether the new coach liked him.”
