Two fire-fighters have been injured while tackling a blaze on a Co Tyrone farm in the early hours of this morning.

Two fire-fighters have been injured while tackling a blaze on a Co Tyrone farm in the early hours of this morning.

A steel beam is believed to have fallen on the pair, leaving one of them needing hospital treatment for back injuries.

The alarm was raised at the farm in Pomeroy just before 4am.

Hundreds of animals had to be rescued from the burning farm buildings.

An investigation into the cause of the fire is underway.
