Ahern returns from week-long visit to Ethiopia

The Minister for Foreign Affairs Dermot Ahern is returning from a week long trip to Africa today.

The Minister for Foreign Affairs Dermot Ahern is returning from a week long trip to Africa today.

He met government officials in Sudan and Ethiopia to discuss political instability in both countries.

He also investigated a number of Irish aid projects in Ethiopia, following concern over how the money was being spent.

The minister is widely expected to announce further funding for aid projects.
