Five people have died in suicide bombing outside the US Consulate in the Pakistani city of Karachi.

Five people have died in suicide bombing outside the US Consulate in the Pakistani city of Karachi.

The attacker smashed a car, laden with explosives, into a guard post.

The blast incinerated nearby vehicles, destroyed part of a wall around the compound and sent debris flying more than half a mile away.

Editor of the Karachi Herald Aamer Ahmed Khan says security is tight there.
