A group of loyalists attacked RUC officers in west Belfast today after the police seized a number of suspected blast bombs.

A group of loyalists attacked RUC officers in west Belfast today after the police seized a number of suspected blast bombs.

The devices were discovered in a bag at the rear of a derelict house in Hopewell Crescent, in the lower Shankill area.

One RUC officer was hospitalised after loyalists attacked the police with missiles following the seizure.
