Most foot-and-mouth restrictions in the Republic will be lifted at midnight tonight.

Minister for Agriculture Joe Walsh has confirmed that the requirement for supplementary veterinary certs is to be lifted.

However, restrictions within the 10-kilometre surveillance zone around Proleek in Co Louth will remain in place until Saturday week.
