Irish Rail yet to respond to ILDA strike threat

Further chaos on the nation’s rail network has not been averted and notice of industrial action is due to be served next week.

Further chaos on the nation’s rail network has not been averted and notice of industrial action is due to be served next week.

The breakaway drivers’ group ILDA says Irish Rail is still not acting quick enough to process disciplinary cases against eight of its members.

The company says the cases are being processed in the normal way, and is accusing the ILDA of a publicity stunt.

ILDA spokesman, Brendan Ogle, says it’s not too late for Irish Rail to act, and offset the threatened strike.
