Bomb explodes in Basque car park

A car bomb damaged an underground car park in the Spanish Basque city of Santander today, but caused no injuries.

A car bomb damaged an underground car park in the Spanish Basque city of Santander today, but caused no injuries.

An anonymous phone call alerted police to the bomb beforehand and the area was evacuated.

The caller claimed the bomb was set by the separatist group Eta.

The group has claimed or been blamed for killing more than 800 people, mostly security force members, in a 34 year campaign.
