It's now thought that the national agreement talks will continue into tomorrow.

Union representatives have been battling for pay deals and recognition in recent days with employers.

However, both ICTU and IBEC have been pessimistic about the discussions.

ICTU have also said these are the most difficult talks in recent years.

Although, both unions and employers have not conducted direct talks yet, it is hoped that an examination of documents in government buildings today could lead to face to face discussions.

Then, discussions would more than likely continue tomorrow as both sides do not want to be seen to fail.
