Tesco to be hit by two June strikes

The Tesco supermarket chain is preparing to be hit by two one-day strikes later this month.

The Tesco supermarket chain is preparing to be hit by two one-day strikes later this month.

Industrial action will begin on June 29 and resume on July 5 over what unions are calling the company's "abysmally low" pay rates.

However, Dermot Breen of Tesco has called on the unions to ballot workers on what he says is a generous pay offer.
