Kanye West has dismissed 50 Cent's challenge to a live TV debate, insisting it is "the stupidest" idea.
The two rappers are set to release their new albums on the same day next month and last Friday 50 - real name Curtis Jackson - invited West to a presidential-style debate on US TV network BET to determine who has the better album.
But the Gold Digger star has turned down the offer, because he would rather concentrate on perfecting his art.
Speaking at the MTV Video Music Nominations in New York on Tuesday, West said: "What am I going to debate about? I'm going to go in the studio and make music.
"When I heard that thing about the debate, I thought that was the stupidest thing. When my albums drops and 50's album drops, you're gonna get a lot of good music at the same time."
