Soccer great Pele was rushed to hospital in Brazil after feeling sharp chest pains but was said to be in good condition today.

The 61-year-old Brazilian, considered by many to be the greatest player of all time, was taken to Sao Paulo’s Heart Hospital last night.

The hospital said Pele ‘‘never lost consciousness and communicated normally with his wife Assiria and the doctors.’’
