Cavan accident: Driver arrested

Gardaí investigating a fatal accident last night in which a cyclist died, have arrested the driver of the car involved.

Gardaí investigating a fatal accident last night in which a cyclist died, have arrested the driver of the car involved.

The collision occurred at around 10pm at Roebuck, Mountnugent, Co Cavan, when the cyclist, a local man in his twenties, was fatally injured.

The 37-year-old driver of the car has been released from custody. A file has been prepared for the DPP.
