Cork City FORAS Co-op have lost three players after discovering they were not eligible to sign for the club after the transfer window closed.
Declan Edwards, Admir Softic and Samuele Emiliano have not received international clearance as a result of their registrations with their previous clubs.
The Leeside club said that players' contractual situation at their previous clubs, which came to light after the request for international clearance was made, meant that the players were not eligible to sign for the club after the transfer window closed.
The club said they will concentrate on recruiting additional players to bolster their squad.
