Fresh vomiting bug outbreak

There is an outbreak of the winter vomiting bug at St Columcille's Hospital in Loughlinstown.

There is an outbreak of the winter vomiting bug at St Columcille's Hospital in Loughlinstown.

15 suspected cases have been identified.

Three of the hospitals' four wards have been closed to admissions, all elective surgery has been cancelled and the day hospital has been closed.

While the Accident and Emergency department remains open, the public has been advised not to go there unless absolutely necessary.
