Goals from Ian Bermingham and Vinny Faherty shot St. Pat’s to the top of the Premier Division table as Rovers suffered an abject defeat.
Rovers, with a strong breeze at their backs, dominated the first half but created just one real goal-scoring opportunity.
James Chambers availed of a little fortune to find himself in on goal on 15 minutes, but blasted wide when he ought to have found the target.
That was as good as it got as Saints struck for the lead on 57 minutes when former Rovers player Bermingham saw his free kick bounce straight through the box and past keeper Alan Mannus.
Pat’s doubled their advantage three minutes later when skipper Damian Lynch’s free-kick found Faherty who headed past Mannus at the near post.
