Major oil spill disrupts traffic in Wateford

Firefighters and the emergency services are attending the scene of a major oil spill on the N72 near Dungarvan in Co. Waterford.

Firefighters and the emergency services are attending the scene of a major oil spill on the N72 near Dungarvan in Co. Waterford.

The spill happened following an accident this morning and is believed to stretch for around two miles.

Nobody was hurt, but a car overturned and the road is being described as treacherous.

Motorists are advised to avoid the area if possible.
