Two in court on firearms charges

Two men were appearing in court today after being charged with firearms offences following a police raid in Belfast in which a number of weapons were seized.

Two men were appearing in court today after being charged with firearms offences following a police raid in Belfast in which a number of weapons were seized.

Police found an airgun, ammunition and parts for petrol bombs during a search at Thorndyke Street in east Belfast.

The two men, who have not been identified, are due to appear before Belfast magistrates this morning.
