Posh not making any resolutions

Victoria Beckham is not making any New Year resolutions – not even to have a number one hit.

Victoria Beckham is not making any New Year resolutions – not even to have a number one hit.

The former Spice Girl said she usually makes promises, but “by New Year’s Day they’ve all gone out of the window”.

“I’m not going to have any. That’s really boring,” she told this morning’s GMTV.

Posh, 29, who recently released a double A-side called This Groove/Let Your Head Go, added: “There’s been so much speculation, am I going to have a number one, and I think nowadays it’s great because nobody’s expecting that.

“There is actually no pressure on me, so however well I do, I can’t really lose.”

Victoria said Christmas in London with husband David and sons Brooklyn, four, and Romeo, one, had been “fantastic”.

She added: “It was so nice that we’ve been together all Christmas. It’s been really nice to catch up with family and friends and for the kids to see their friends. It’s been very family-orientated.”

The singer said she had had an “an amazing year” in 2003 and Spain, where Becks plays for Real Madrid, now felt like home.

“It took a while for us to find a house and we’re still looking for a school for the boys,” she said.

“It’s a great place, it’s a very sociable place, Spain. We like to involve our boys with everything we do so it’s been great for us, learning another language and the boys experiencing a new culture. I’m not very quick at picking up languages but I’m getting there.”

Of her singing career, Victoria said she loved it and had no intention of giving up: “I have had a lot of criticism because I’m still working but I think it’s great.

“I respect women who don’t just want to stay at home and be supported by their husbands. It’s good to have ambition and do your own thing.

“I like to do it all. I don’t have to do the music any more. I do it because I enjoy it at the end of the day.”

Victoria said the video for This Groove, created with hip hop producer Damon Dash, showed her “rolling around feeling myself”.

The video for Let Your Head Go has her dressed in sexy underwear.

“That’s how I always do the housework, dressed up like that for my husband,” she said.

“With these records I wanted to poke fun at myself. I wanted to show there is a humorous side to me.”
