GSOC: No evidence Corrib Gas gardaí were given alcohol

The Garda Ombudsman Commission says it has found no evidence that Gardaí policing the Corrib Gas project were supplied with alcohol.

It said there is no basis for claims that Gardaí in Belmullet were given alcohol as gifts between 2005 and 2007.

GSOC said it has conducted a thorough investigation and has found "no evidence of the purchase or delivery of alcohol to Garda stations" or of any misconduct by any member of the force.
