Dublin's city manager, Owen Keegan, has said there is no hope of recouping money spent on the Poolbeg incinerator if the project is scrapped.

Dublin's city manager, Owen Keegan, has said there is no hope of recouping money spent on the Poolbeg incinerator if the project is scrapped.

Mr Keegan said the only way for local authorities to regain their €96m spend on the project is if the project goes ahead.

He is facing questions from the Environment Oireachtas Committee on the spend on the project so far.
